Healthcare workers rally for Obama
Hundreds of SEIU healthcare workers gathered in support of Senator Barack Obama at Key Arena in Seattle.
Obama called for a healthcare system, not a disease care system. Obama told the packed arena that we can't afford to wait to fix our healthcare system, and the current system leaves millions without insurance, and millions more with premiums that go "up and up and up".

I think this country needs a big change. Barack Obama is the one we need to do it and address our healthcare needs.”
"I know what it's like to see a loved one suffer -- not just because
they're sick, but because of a broken health care system", Obama said.
"We're going to make sure our nurses aren't overworked, and we won't
wait twenty years to do it. We'll do it by the end of my first term as
United States president."
SEIU has endorsed Obama for president, citing his hope to achieve
economic justice, quality, affordable healthcare for every American,
the freedom for workers to unite in unions, and an end to the Iraq war.
"Now, more than ever, we need a candidate who can bring change to our
country, deliver needed health care reform, and help working families,"
said Diane Sosne, RN, president of SEIU Healthcare 1199NW. "Barack
Obama is the candidate who can unite America."
