I am one of the luckier ones, being able to live at my elderly mother's home - she is 89, and I pay for my 'rent' in other ways by helping her & cleaning, shopping, etc. Without her helping me for many years, who knows where I would be now. Others are not so lucky! This report is so very true and informative, using "Bill" as an example and how much more money will be spent on him due to his eventual or current situation. Had he been able to maintain on the $ 340/month, he could have stayed in the Clean & Sober house and for all we know, he could have made it! This is very sad! Can anything at all be done about this? Can we on GAU/GAX start a petition or is that useless? Thanks for letting me comment on this great article!
