Congratulations to Cascade Valley Hospital workers on forming their union!

Our jobs and the care we give are both better when we have a voice. Today the nearly 200 healthcare workers at Cascade Valley Hospital made our support for a union heard loud and clear as an overwhelming majority of us signed a card to unite for our patients, ourselves, and our families.

Now we can have a say in how our hospital is run and we can negotiate a contract with improvements in training funds, wages, and benefits.  Particularly at this time when our hospital is looking to affiliate with PeaceHealth, we will now have a voice to stand up for our patients and our community.

Today, we will continue to build our strength and unity as we take the next steps toward winning our first contract.
