Members of SEIU Healthcare 1199NW at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw and St. Anne Hospital in Burien are united for a fair contract. We are committed to providing the best care we can for our patients.
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health must put patients before profits
Hospitals all over the state are investing back in their employees and communities. They’re recognizing the need to keep up with the market. VMFH, however, isn’t doing enough to recruit or retain qualified staff to care for patients. Our community depends on the care they receive from us, healthcare workers at St. Elizabeth Hospital and St. Anne Hospital.
Across both hospitals, we are fighting for:
- Equitable raises that recruit, retain, and allow us to live in our communities
- Safety, and safe staffing for our patients, our communities, and our coworkers
- Creating an environment of belonging and respect
- Benefits we can count on for ourselves and our families
The integrated health system Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is part of corporation CommonSpirit Health, a highly profitable corporation.
In 2021, CommonSpirit:
- Made $34.4 billion in patient revenue, up by $1.16 billion from the previous year
- Holds cash and cash equivalents of $16.2 billion — CommonSpirit could operate “as is” for 176 days without taking in a single additional cent.
- Obtained $1.5 billion in various COVID grants
