Information for Candidate Election:
Every three years, SEIU Healthcare 1199NW members elect our co-workers and our union officers for chapter leadership positions. Every member in good standing as of March 30, 2022, is eligible to vote. The election is conducted by mail.
Eligible members will receive voting instructions and a ballot, ballot envelope, and business reply envelope separately.
The ballot eligible members receive will be for the officers and/or Executive Board members for which they are eligible to vote.
Members elect representatives from their chapter to serve on our Executive Board. Listed in the voter’s guide are all officers and Board candidates in alphabetical order by chapter name listed by designated bargaining unit.
When you have completed your ballot according to the included instructions, use the postage paid business-reply envelope to mail your ballot. Your ballot must be received no later than May 6, 2022 at 3:00pm PT/ 4:00pm MT. If you don’t receive a ballot in the mail, call the union office at (800) 422-8934.
Our Leadership Team:
Executive Board: Our chapters elect representatives to the Executive Board, which meets monthly to plan and set policies for our union and review our union’s finances.
Officers: SEIU Healthcare 1199NW members elect seven officers every three years. Four positions are full-time paid positions: President, Secretary-Treasurer, and two Executive Vice Presidents. Three positions are rank-and-file membership Vice President positions. Our officers manage the union on a day-to-day basis.
