Healthcare workers at Virginia Mason in Seattle under SEIU Healthcare 1199NW, representing 1,100 service and tech workers, have officially ratified a historic, standard-raising first contract.

Workers at VM had been bargaining their contract for over a year since forming our union, taking countless actions including an informational picket, and even voted to authorize a 7-day strike if needed. With the support of their community members and elected officials, they stood united and won an agreement that will allow them to provide Seattle the best quality patient care.
